Why is handmade soap better than commercial soap?
Unlike many commercial cleansing bars that rely on synthetic detergents, handmade soap is created through the traditional process of saponification, producing gentle cleanser naturally rich in glycerin. Glycerin helps attract moisture to the skin, leaving it feeling soft and nourished after washing. Also small-batch handmade production allows for attention to ingredient quality and craftsmanship.
Are your products Certified Organic?
Our goal is to use 100% natural ingredients and source organic materials whenever possible. While developing certified organic products is a complex and costly process, we choose to focus our resources on creating high-quality natural skin and body care. Ingredient lists on our website and product labels will indicate which ingredients are organic.
What is your manufacturing process like?
Every Grace Full Bubbles product is thoughtfully handcrafted in small batches. From selecting high-quality ingredients to blending, pouring, curing, cutting, and packaging, each step is carefully completed by hand to ensure exceptional quality and attention to detail. Our soap-making process takes 6 weeks from start to finish, allowing each bar ample time to cure properly. Our other handcrafted products are made in small batches and are typically ready within a few days. Every batch is inspected before it leaves our studio, so you can feel confident that you're receiving a product made with care, integrity, and a commitment to quality.
Do you offer vegan products?
Yes we do. We recommend reviewing the ingredient list before purchasing. Some of our products may contain ingredients such as beeswax, goat milk, or local grass fed tallow. if you have any questions about a specific product, please feel free to contact us-we're happy to help.
Why do you use fragrance oils with essential oils?
Many people assume that essential oils are always the more natural or environmentally friendly choice, but the reality is more complex.
Producing a single bottle of essential oil can require hundreds of pounds of plant material, placing significant pressure on natural resources. Responsible sourcing is essential, as overharvesting and habitat destruction can threaten plant species and disrupt entire ecosystems. At scale, it is simply not sustainable to cultivate enough land to meet the global demand for essential oils. This growing demand is one of the reasons certain oils are becoming increasingly expensive, as some plant species face the risk of depletion or extinction. The concern is even greater when these precious resources are used in wash-off products like soap, where their benefits are not fully utilized. Sustainable formulation requires thoughtful consideration of both environmental impact and ingredient purpose.
For this reason, it is not sustainable—or necessary—to use essential oils in every product.
Instead, I carefully select a combination of fragrance oils and anchor it with minimal amount of essential oils to create beautiful, long-lasting scents. All fragrance oils used in Grace Full Bubbles products are very well researched and sourced from reputable Canadian suppliers, are IFRA-compliant, and are formulated for safe use in skincare products.
With all that being said, for sensitive skin soap, child safe products, and many leave-on products such as lotions and body butters, we exclusively use simple essential oils blends or leave products unscented whenever appropriate. Please review the ingredients to find the formula that's right for you.
Are fragrance oils safe for skin?
Yes! Fragrance oils are not all created equal. We dedicate significant time and care to sourcing fragrances from trusted suppliers, thoroughly researching their composition and quality. Each fragrance is carefully tested across a variety of skin types, including those with sensitivities and allergies. Only the safest, high-quality options are selected for use in our products, ensuring both performance and skin compatibility.
All fragrance oils used in Grace Full Bubbles are IFRA-compliant, 100% vegan and free of: Paraben, Phthalate, Lyral, and Lilial.
What is the shelf life of your products?
Most of our products have a shelf life of up to 2 years unopened when stored in a cool dry place. Once opened, we recommend using them within 12 months for optimal freshness and performance. Always store products away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture to help preserve their quality.
How can I make my soap last longer?
Slice your bar of soap in half when you first unwrap it and save a piece for later. Keep your soap dry between uses and out of direct streams of water. Pair your bar with our handmade soap saver bags to extend it's life and for extra bubbles and gentle exfoliation.
When will I get my order?
We will ship your order within 2-5 business days from Ottawa, Ontario. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with further information. Delivery times vary depending on your location.
