Hi, I'm Mona, the founder and creator of Grace Full Bubbles.

What began as a passion for natural ingredients and handcrafted skincare grew into a mission to create products that are clean, gentle, effective, and inspired by nature. My love for botanical skincare and soap making started in 2020, when the world slowed down during COVID and I was laid off from my job as a flight attendant. Life hit the breaks very hard… and honestly, I had no idea what to do with myself at first. Everything happened so fast I was very confused and terrified.

But I reminded myself over and over again that starting over wasn't new to me.

I grew up in a small coastal town in Yemen called Al Buraiqeh, surrounded by gardens, animals, herbs, fruit trees, flowers, and the smell of the sea. My grandmother grew almost everything by hand, and my family lived closely connected to nature. I watched how plants and simple organic ingredients were trusted for skin, hair, and medicine. Those memories still resonate with me.  Then, when I was 12 years old, my family immigrated to Canada after a civil war changed our destiny.

Years later, during another significant life transition-and amid the unexpected pause of COVID lockdowns I found myself drawn back to the things that had lifted my spirit and always inspired me:  gardening, working with herbs, and creating with my hands. Before long that journey led me to the art of cold process soap making, the traditional method of combining plant or animal fats with sodium hydroxide (lye) water. What started as curiosity quickly became obsession. There's just something magical about cutting into a fresh loaf of soap and discovering the design hiding inside, which by the way always comes out different than what I have in mind. In a good surprising way I must say. Very dangerous hobby for someone who says "just one more batch" every day!

Grace Full Bubbles was built from both necessity and love. After becoming a mom in 2023, which introduced another big change in my life, I wanted a slower, more meaningful life — one where I could create with my hands, stay close to my son, and make products I truly believed in for my family and friends. So I found myself diving harder again back into farming, gardening, infusing and formulating to find that balance again. Soap making and gardening makes my soul healed and happy. It taught me to be more patient, more connected, more present, and more focused. 

Today, every product is handcrafted in small batches using thoughtfully chosen ingredients, many infused with herbs, clays, flowers, and spices from my own garden. I blend the traditions I'm proud to come from — Yemeni and Canadian — combining all that inspiration with modern formulation knowledge to create skincare that feels both timeless and intentional. My mission is simple: create products that feels luxurious, honest, respects our planet, and genuinely supports healthy skin.  

At its heart, Grace Full Bubbles is about simple things: honest ingredients, healthy skin, simple living, and the healing power of nature.

Starting from the soil to the seed and all the way to our skin, everything is made with love and lots of grace— for every age, every skin type, every ethnicity, and every story.
